Step 1: Starting the Garcinia Cambogia Tree
It is essential that you start your garcinia cambogia trees in the spring time so when it develops it gains the most amount of sunshine and moisture. Ensure that you prepare a very heavy gallon pot with some drainage holes in the bottom in order to enhance long term growing. Note that garcinia cambogia trees can reach over 12 feet in height even if there are in the pots so please bear that in mind.
Step 2: Mixing the Soil
Mixing the potting soil should include one pot of potting or garden soil with one pot of organic compost. This means that the ratio of this mixture should be one to one – equal measures. Due to the fact that these trees usually hail from the rainforest, they will require a similar environment as that found on the rain forests.
In the bottom of your pot, lay two inches of gravel and then fill three quarter of the pot with the potting mixture you made previously. However, avoid using your garden soil as it may easily bring diseases and weeds into the pot as this particular fruit is used to Asian environments.
Step 3: Setting the Garcinia Cambogia Roots
Set the tree roots of garcinia cambogia on the soil and then pack some more potting mixture around and over them. Carefully, plant the tree and leave at least some three inches of space between the top of your pot and the soil surface as the tree will buldge as it grows and you don’t want it to over flow.
Step 4: Putting the Tree in a Good Environment.
Since garcinia cambogia prefer a hot and humid environment, put your tree in a site or surrounding that has bright sun as well as temperatures of approximately 70-100 degrees Fahrenheit.
As a tip to get it growing to it’s full potential, even if you live in a very hot area, why not start the growing process inside a greenhouse to really get the momentum going.
As mentioned previously this tree comes from a particular environment and perhaps could be temperamental should you not provide adequate attention.
If you nurture your tree in it’s infancy you may well find that it repays you in maturity, although the same as anything really, if you put the effort in the beginning you should reap the rewards thereafter and growing this super fruit tree is no different.
